Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins’ husband has revealed new details about the threatening letter sent to her home earlier this  week, which potentially contained the deadly poison “ricin.” Her husband, Thomas Daffron, reported that he was the one who actually opened the letter. Daffron said the person who wrote the letter claimed that it was “tainted with ricin residue,” but officials determined it was not.
