▷ Trump Admin Delivers Religious Liberty Win by Rolling Back Controversial Obama-Era Birth Control Rule ✅

Although most people are still focusing on midterms, the Trump administration just rolled back an Obama-era birth control rule in order to expand religious freedom.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the new regulation will exempt businesses from covering their employee’s birth control based on religious or moral beliefs. While religious beliefs can apply to any company, the moral belief exemption does not apply to publicly traded businesses or government groups.

Under the Obama administration, the law was created to expand Obamacare and require all businesses, except for houses of worship, to cover all forms of birth control.

Many liberals are speaking out against this move, calling it a violation of women’s rights:

Although there has been some pushback from the left, the Supreme Court has already ruled in the case Burwell v. Hobby Lobby in favor of making a more narrow rule that addresses businesses that hold religious beliefs.

This new rule is estimated to affect 6,000 to 127,000 women in the U.S when it takes effect in 60 days. However, pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List released a statement praising the administration for the decision.

“The Obama administration’s repeated violations of conscience were deeply contrary to the core of our nation, which was built on the foundation of respect for the individual freedoms of the people and deeply held religious beliefs,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser in the statement. “We thank President Trump for fulfilling a core promise to voters of faith and conscience who elected him and thank Secretary Azar for implementing these important regulations.”
